No Technology in a Technological world

In a world where information makes it to the internet before it makes it to paper and is circulated around town, what happens to those that can't access to internet and get the know how on the latest things? What are the implications of this?
Does it means those without access to the internet and other services wont be able to find these new things out as the old ways of sharing information fades out. Perhaps maybe one day the whole world will have the benefit of our technological advances, maybe those without access to the internet will some day find out for themselves if its really all that. It's literally information at your fingertips and so many people are missing out from lack of wealth or living in poverty ridden and underdeveloped areas.
Does it even matter? maybe the original medium of getting information across is good enough for them, it might work just fine for them and the change could be unwelcome.

What do you think? Of course information at your fingertips is a good thing but maybe its a bad thing for everyone who doesn't have it because they're not getting all this information because its not in their newspaper and who knows just how long those will even be around. So in a technological world, are the people who can't get these luxuries really missing out if they don't know any better or is it just creating more problems for them? What's your opinion?

Does IT help Scammers?

scammers have been around forever, wherever you go there is always somebody looking to get what you have have for free and without you realizing they took it. So in the age of the internet are scammeres scams more effective? because there are more scammers now more than ever.Whenever you are buying something online there is always a threat that a scammer might take you credit card information, even after you have safely bought something there's still a threat that a hacker might leak improperly stored details from the company. Using the internet scammers can advertise their scams so people click on their links and get sucked into a phishing scam and because of the anonymity of the internet means that the perpetrator may never get caught but really the problem isn't that there is a lot of scammers, the problem is that people aren't properly educated on internet safety and just generally some online common-sense. What do you think about this subject?

Social Implications of E-Commerce

The social implications of ICT have changed the world greatly and affect almost all of us around the globe, an important factor in the social implications of ICT is that of E-Commerce. E-Commerce is the exchange of goods for money over the internet and through chip & pin devices.

E-Commerce has changed the landscape of trade by giving a customer the ability to buy something, pay for it and even have it delivered to them without leaving their house. This has been made possible by the internet which connect customers and retailers together, alongside the fact that a lot of people would prefer to rule out the social aspect of shopping to do it from the comfort of their own computer chair which is not a surprise considering the amount of people that tend to complain about the business of the high street during shopping rushes. However, while E-Commerce is a brilliant innovation that encompasses ease of access with speed and the reliability and security of it is constantly being upgraded upon there arises the problem that while E-Commerce is busy thriving, smaller local high street shops begin to lose business and a nation wide high street takeover by large companies with chains of shops like Tesco and Morrisons begin to come and our little local shops which have been around for years are suddenly out of business and now you're either in Lidl or your on the computer for Tescos Click & Collect.

People no longer need to leave the house to buy things and they certainly don't need to carry wads of cash around with you, with an ATM round every corner and almost every shop having chip & pin it makes the whole buying thing a whole lot simpler for many people.

Do you find that Credit and Debit cards make things simpler?
