Today I have completed the assessment we started in Web Development with Kerry and done a tutorial for non tech savvy people to insert a picture into Microsoft word.

This Week On BTEC Level 2
During this week so far we have:
- worked on the characteristics needed for working in the IT Industry
- Thought of computing related activities with Steve, and tried to convince him that paintball is computing related.
- Began an assessment on web architecture in website development.

- High street shops may close due to E-Commerce causing lack of sales.
- People may be more inclined to stay inside and not involve themselves in the community
- A higher chance of local scamming

- Easier to organised local events
- Great for promoting tourism
- You can find your local news online
- You can find local bus timetables on your councils website

- Your personal information becomes much easier to obtain
- Scamming, phishers and viruses are more prevalent
- High street shops may go out of business because of E-Commerce
- Illegal downloads of music and games leaves producers not making as much as they should.
- When something is put on the internet it is generally on it forever so nothing becomes private.
- Flame wars and trolling is widespread.
Advantages IT Brings To Our Lives
- You are able to connect with friends & family very easy through the internet.
- It allows us to share files such as audio and video with each other.
- E-Commerce allows you to order goods to be delivered to your house or for collection.
- Booking holidays and trips abroad becomes much easier and with price comparison websites it may even end up cheaper.
- You are able to read the latest news and follow your favorite celebrities through social networking sites such as Facebook, twitter and instagram.
- Accessing information has never been easier with wiki websites.
